Summing up the BAFTA awards today (judging by my dashboard and the BAFTA twitter….):

Martin Freeman and Andrew Scott were nominated and in the same category (both for their roles in BBC Sherlock) .
Andrew Scott won that award (That’s okay, Martin already has one from the last time).
The term, “Honey, you should see me with my BAFTA” was coined as well as the original, “Fuck you, I won a BAFTA,” which they plastered all over gifs within 5 minutes of the announcement.
Benedict Cumberbatch and Matt Smith presented a BAFTA to Steven Moffat.
And then proceeded to talk backstage about something….. I really hope they’re talking about cheekbones…
And then Benedict Cumberbatch did NOT win a BAFTA and everyone cried because he made it clear that he was pretty dang sure he wasn’t going to win a BAFTA when he first walked in.
And then the fandom exploded.
Basically everyone in Sherlock has won an award except the leading actor.
That’s about it.
